Any eager person, with a desire to communicate, can just hook themselves on to Whatsapp and find what the world has to say. It is a communicating application, a messaging platform, through which one can communicate with all the people on the contact list, who also has Whatsapp installed on their cell phone. That being said, the best part about Whatsapp is that it can be used through a number of devices, with old and new operating system, alike.

Yet, the recent policy of the people behind the success of Whatsapp, who are the same as Facebook, has come to a new plan, which will restrict the use of this messaging platform from devices that houses old operating systems. It will stop working on the iOs devices which have not been upgraded, for instance, phones like the iPhone 3Gs, or any device running on iOs 6. It will also stop working for the first, second, third and fourth generation iPad, which has not been upgraded. Android 2.1 or 2.2 devices will also be affected and even people with the Windows 7 will not have Whatsapp, by the end of 2017.

It has been estimated that by the end of 2017, such a decision by the team will get implemented. People might require upgrading their devices, or move to a new device, to be able to avail the benefits of Whatsapp. That being said, the developers are bent on taking the experience to a whole new level, for the users. Since, it was developed in 2009; it has paid no heed towards the growing business of several telecommunication devices, which has, eventually, stunted the growth rate of Whatsapp and Whatsapp users, in today’s time. Thus, this upgrade seems like a valid justification for the company.
