Lifting heavy weights at workplace can affect their fertility. This problem is more common among overweight and elderly women.
In a study, it was found that women lifting heavy weights have 8.6 % fewer total egg count and 14.6% lesser matured egg as compared to women with less of physical work. This was found more in women of age above 37 years.
A study at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, suggests that women with non day shift or rotary shift also face problem with fertility. The study even suggests that women planning pregnancy should avoid lifting heavy weights and working at non day shifts. The study clarifies the doubt on affect of physical work on fertility acceleration.
However, the reason behind affect of working schedule and culture on reproduction is still not known. The researches done on various groups of woman signify that fertility is greatly affected by working style and shift, the affect is increased on elderly women.
It is believed that affect on reproductively of women due lifting heavy weights and working in non day shift is just a natural thing as the real reason is not yet known. Therefore, it is highly recommendable for every women planning for baby to follow a healthy and safe lifestyle, if they really wish to have a non-problematic pregnancy resulting in a healthy baby.
